3D allows us to remove a lot of the guess work for our clients. We don't just retouch a photograph to create an artist's impression, which is essentially an artist's interpretation of your idea, we build it to scale, creating a realistic environment, with realistic texture maps of the actual surfaces you want to use. 3D allows you to exactly recreate the view and view it from all angles and even rotate it 360 degrees. Creating a 3D animation of the product gives you the answers to how the entire idea works.
It is the same with building a kitchen, for example.
